BIOGRAPHY

Dr Ashley Chantler is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing and English Literature and course leader of BA (Hons) Creative Writing and MA Creative Writing: Writing and Publishing Fiction.

 

He has research and teaching expertise in creative writing, editing, and twentieth-century and contemporary literature.

 

Dr Chantler has written and edited a wide range of fiction, poetry, and critical works. He is founding co-director of the International Flash Fiction Association, co-editor of Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine and Flash: The International Short-Short Story Press, and founding director of the University's creative-writing hub Pandora's Box.

 

He welcomes enquiries about both creative and critical writing PhDs (see Teaching & Supervision).
