BIOGRAPHY

Alex Knight is Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing at the University of Chester Business School, where he also serves as Director of Studies for the BA Digital Marketing. Before joining Chester he was based at the University of Liverpool Management School, working as a Graduate Teaching Fellow alongside his doctoral research and tutoring for the Writing@Liverpool programme. His doctoral work, nearing completion at Liverpool, looks at how consumers experience emerging technologies and the sense of enchantment that new technology can create in everyday consumption. This sits within a wider interest in consumer culture and the ways technological change reshapes marketing practice.

At present, Alex holds a Master of Research in Business Management from the University of Stirling, awarded with Distinction, and a First Class BA in Marketing from the University of Liverpool. In addition to this, he is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
