Abdul is a committed Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the MSc International Business course, with a strong interdisciplinary background in Computer Science, Management, and Sustainability. His academic development includes an MPhil in Sustainability, focused on sustainability reporting and financial performance, and he is currently pursuing a PhD examining these themes within SMEs in North West England.

His teaching philosophy is centred on inclusive, student-focused, and research-informed learning. Abdul aims to create an environment where students are encouraged to think critically, engage actively, and connect theory with real-world business practice. He places particular emphasis on developing students’ analytical ability, professional confidence, ethical awareness, and readiness for the challenges of a global and sustainability-driven business landscape.

Before entering academia, Abdul spent 12 years as an entrepreneur and service industry professional, including establishing and managing his own business in Liverpool. This experience informs his practical approach to teaching, enabling him to bridge academic concepts with lived business realities. His profile combines academic expertise, industry experience, and a commitment to preparing students for meaningful professional and societal impact.
