RESEARCH INTERESTS

Abdul's research interest in sustainability focuses on the relationship between sustainability reporting and financial performance. He is specifically interested in exploring the impact of sustainability reporting on the financial performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in northwest England. His research aims to contribute to understanding the potential benefits and challenges of sustainability reporting for SMEs and identify best practices for integrating sustainability into their business strategies. Abdul hopes to promote sustainable practices and help SMEs achieve long-term financial success through his research while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Abdul's research interest also extends to the different sustainability reporting frameworks that exist in the corporate world. He is keen on exploring the various frameworks that companies adopt to report their sustainability performance and their impact on financial performance. His research aims to identify the most effective and efficient sustainability reporting frameworks that can be adopted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the northwest of England. He believes that by understanding the different frameworks like GRI, CDP, SASB, SDGs, ISSB, and TCFD, SMEs can choose the most appropriate one that suits their business model and aligns with their sustainability goals. Through his research, Abdul hopes to promote sustainable practices in SMEs, specifically in the UK's manufacturing sector.
