RESEARCH INTERESTS

During her time at the International Merger & Acquisition Centre, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Ann had three textbooks and one journal article published in China on various legal topics.

Ann's current research derives from her daily teaching practices and focuses on motivating international students in UK higher education. The results will help UK business schools not only review their strategies, policies and priorities in marketing and recruitment, but also envisage more effective approaches to teaching and learning delivery. These will contribute to a more inclusive and accessible education, within the fast-evolving landscape of global higher education. Her presentation of the research at the Evasys Student Engagement Conference, October 2023, received highly positive feedback and attracted interests from experts and practitioners from across the sector.

Ann is supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of international business management, employee motivation, organisational performance and healthcare management. Many of her supervisees are international students from across the globe.
