BIOGRAPHY

Chandrika Devarakonda is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Chester, UK. She currently supervises students on PhD and EdD programmes and teaches on a wide range of modules on undergraduate and post graduate programmes.


She is an experienced and active researcher, who has successfully completed research projects and supported several doctoral studies and a Commonwealth Scholar. She has written books, chapters and journal articles in peer reviewed journals.

  
 She is co - chair of the Research Development Community (RDC) of Social Justice, Equity AND Diversity at Association of teacher Education in Europe. Chandrika has been invited to give keynote speeches by several organisations such Life long learning, Association of Colleges (AOC), Equaliteach, Belfast Childcare partnership, Leicester Early years in the UK and universities in USA, Spain, Netherlands and India. She has been invited to give talks at Autonomous University of Barcelona, Millersville University, HU institute of Applied Sciences, keynote speeches at Amity University, Pondicherry University in India, Konstanz University, Germany, Pearson. Chandrika is a reviewer for different journals such as American Educational /research Association (AERA) Power and Education, Disability, CBR and inclusive development, Critical Studies in Education, American Education Research Association, UNESCO reports. British Medical Journal., European Early childhood Education Research Journal, and been involved in the scientific committee for European organisation. She has also led Faculty Research interest group (RIG) Early Years, Children and families group.
