I qualified as a social worker in 2008, practicing with children and families in various local authorities as a social worker, senior social worker and team manager. I then worked for Cafcass as a children's Guardian in the family courts. Prior to qualifying as a social worker, I worked with children, and as an advocate for vulnerable adults. I joined the University of Chester in 2021 as a senior lecturer in social work. In addition to this I am programme lead of the social work degree apprenticeship (SWDA).
