RESEARCH INTERESTS
My primary research work was conducted as part of my dissertations for MA (WBIS) and M Ed (Professional Education). Across all my projects, the recurring theme is quality enhancement and the advancement of patient care through staff education and development.
In 2018/2019, I led a Trust-wide initiative (during my previous NHS managerial role within a clinical skills department) aimed at implementing a standardised education programme and competency framework for ANTT (Aseptic Non-Touch Technique). This initiative involved the formulation and implementation of a new policy. Additionally, it served as a project for my Florence Nightingale Leadership Programme for Windrush Nurses.
Dissertation for Master of Education (2018):
Conducted an exploratory study into the perceptions of overseas nurses, for whom English is not their first language (English as a Second Language [ESL]), regarding their experiences with a drug calculation test.
Dissertation for Master of Art (2015):
Explored the transition in nursing practice by addressing safety concerns related to Assistant Practitioners administering medicines.
