I am a Senior Lecturer in Education and First Year Lead at the University of Chester, teaching across Initial Teacher Education on the BA (QTS) and PGCE programmes in Primary and Early Years. I teach Art & Design and Design & Technology, alongside professional development modules, and mentor Associate Teachers as a University-Based Teacher Educator Mentor (UBTEM). I also supervise undergraduate research projects.

I hold Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and am studying for a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring to enhance my mentoring work. I also serve as a school governor at a Cheshire primary school.

My Master’s in Education explored the impact of teacher networks on professional learning. Before joining Chester as a Senior Lecturer in 2021, I taught Early Years–Primary Art & Design to postgraduate students as a visiting lecturer.
