BIOGRAPHY
Elisa Dowey is the Scholarly Communications Officer in the Library's Collections, Content, Discovery and Research Team. Her role involves the day to day management of ChesterRep, the University's institutional repository, including ensuring that outputs have correct embargos and licences, as well as advising on Open Access and helping academics to upload their research outputs. She also helps to deliver training sessions on various aspects of research support.
She is a member of the team responsible for implementing the University's new CRIS, Symplectic Elements and is involved with the integration process with ChesterRep and helping to develop training materials for academic staff on depositing and managing outputs.
Prior to this role Elisa was the Assistant Subject Librarian for the Health and Social Care Faculty based at the Leighton Hospital Campus. Her role there was to assist students and staff with enquiries, to deliver teaching sessions to the students and to compile and update reading lists and book ordering.
Elisa's roles have primarily been within the area of academic librarianship with a health context but she has also worked as a Children's Librarian at a public library.
