Dr Emma Arya-Manesh is one of the Co-directors of the Centre for Research into Education, Creativity and Arts through Practice (RECAP) and a Senior Researcher in the School of Education. She has undertaken research and evaluations across diverse settings, including art galleries, cultural and arts-based organisations, children’s centres, youth groups, universities, and schools.

Emma has secured external funding from local authorities, charities, and (inter)national learned societies. She is also an experienced editor, holding the position of Editorial Manager for the International Journal of Art & Design Education (iJADE). Separately, Emma is an Associate Editor for COMPARE: A Journal of Comparative and International Education.
