BIOGRAPHY
Emily Sykes is a member of the team within the University of Chester Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate that oversees the Current Research Information System (CRIS), Workload Allocation Management System (WAMS) and research output/analytics tools.
As Research Information Officer, Emily has responsibility for the system administration of the CRIS at the University that includes administration of all features within it (Biography; Publications; Research & Knowledge Exchange; Professional; Teaching & Supervision). She also provides support to the Workload and Data Manager with WAMS, as and when required.
As part of her current priorities, Emily contributes to Workstream 2 of the University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy that addresses Research Data and Intelligence and contributes to the monitoring of Performance Indicator(s). This includes supporting the project manager on the implementation of the first CRIS (Symplectic Elements) at the University and supporting the development of this system to facilitate analysis and assessment of outputs and impact case studies in preparation for REF2029. Additionally, Emily is responsible for supporting the REF and KEF Manager in ensuring that this system can support the exploitation of research funding intelligence (including around priority areas with critical mass).
