BIOGRAPHY
Fiona McLean is Senior Librarian, with responsibility for managing the library’s Collections, Content, Discovery and Research (CCDR) team.
Her role involves overseeing the work of the CCDR team in developing the library’s collections, discovery systems and research support services to ensure that these meet the learning, teaching and research needs of the University community.
The CCDR team play an integral role in supporting the University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange strategy, managing the University’s research outputs using the institutional repository, ChesterRep, to ensure compliance with REF and funder open access policies, and managing the integration between ChesterRep and our University CRIS, Symplectic Elements.
Fiona is a member of the project team responsible for the procurement and implementation of a new library management system.
Prior to this role, Fiona was subject librarian for the Arts and Humanities faculties which involved liaising with departments and providing subject support, offering training sessions and handling subject related queries.
