RESEARCH INTERESTS

Gareth’s research interests are physiological/psychological stress and heart rate variability, and the beneficial effects of touch/massage.

Previous research has included monitoring and preparing athletes for endurance events; and a long-term project at the Manchester Fire Brigade Training Centre investigating the effects of extreme heat stress on firefighters.
