BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Gerard Turner is a Senior Lecturer in Social Science. He is a 'dual professional' with a background in higher education and youth and community education. This brings extensive experience of supporting young people and adult learners, widening participation, and social and political education. His UK-based and international fieldwork has been for research projects (into national youth policy and local community development) and for the production of educational resources (about economic globalisation). He is based in the Centre for Foundation Studies where he is the Course Leader for the Law, Humanities and Social Sciences route.
