As Senior Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer, Dr Galbraith is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the strategic leadership of an outstanding offer for all students of the University, across all sites and modes of delivery. This role encompasses all aspects of student support and wellbeing; responding to student and graduate needs; encouraging innovation in teaching and learning; improving student employability and enterprise; managing student behaviour, and bringing higher education opportunities to a diverse community of students. Dr Galbraith leads professional services including Student Services and Chaplaincy; Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions; Legal, Governance and Compliance; Sport and Active Lifestyle and Access, Skills and Apprenticeships (DASA). Dr Galbraith works closely with both academic and professional colleagues to ensure delivery against institutional Citizen Student strategy and a focus on all aspects of the student journey, from application through to graduation and beyond.
