I am a Senior Lecturer in Art Education within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Chester, specialising in Initial Teacher Education for Secondary Art & Design (PGCE). My work centres on supporting beginning teachers to develop confident, research-informed and reflective art-education practice. I have a particular interest in creative pedagogies, visual literacy, practitioner inquiry, and the role of formative assessment in developing technical and expressive skills in the art classroom.

My background includes extensive experience teaching Art & Design across secondary phases, leading curriculum development, and mentoring early career teachers. I am passionate about fostering inclusive, sustainable and globally aware art education that empowers young people as creative thinkers and responsive world citizens.
