I have had many years’ experience working as a staff nurse and team leader in forensic services. I have also worked as a senior trainer in the NHS developing and delivering mandatory courses such as Care Co-ordination, Risk Assessment and Adult Safeguarding. After leaving the NHS I spent seven years working for Local Authority managing all required Mental Health training and also AMHP training. A major aspect of my role within Local Authority was to embed service user and carer involvement throughout all services.
My external role is as an independent safeguarding investigator for local authorities in North Wales.
I joined the University of Chester at the start of 2014 after finishing my Masters Degree.
