TEACHING INTERESTS

My teaching equips students with the frameworks and practical tools needed to navigate environmental and organisational sustainability challenges. Drawing on systems thinking, smart specialisation, and appreciative inquiry, I encourage students to identify opportunities within complexity rather than focus solely on risk and constraint. I teach across topics including climate change, social cohesion, resource management, geopolitical risk, sustainable supply chains, life cycle assessment, circular systems, through-life capability management, and research methods. My defence and security background also informs teaching on industrial protection, fragile and critical environmental networks, and shade shift analysis, bringing real-world applied context to postgraduate and doctoral study. Across all my teaching, I emphasise stakeholder dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and the translation of sustainability research into practice.
