Jo is a Senior Lecturer for Primary Education ITT and a member of the Mentor Development Team and Mentoring and Coaching in Education Research Group. She is a specialist in early childhood and early years education.

Jo has over 20 years experience of working in a range of roles in primary and early years, which includes primary school teaching, working as a local authority early years consultant and children’s centre manager. She is passionate about early intervention and prevention and giving children the best start to their education
