BIOGRAPHY
Julie Lawson is the Programme Leader for the FdSc Nursing Associate programme at Chester and Warrington, providing, leadership, management and assessment of the programme. Julie is a Fellow of Advanced HE.
Julie is a registered Public Health Practitioner on the UK Public Health register, a Practitioner Member of the Faculty of Public Health and a Specialist Dental Nurse registered with the General Dental Council. She has over 25 years clinical experience working with general practice, community dental services and Maxillofacial and Orthodontics. Supporting patients to improve their oral health has been a long-held passion. Julie worked within public health as an oral health improvement specialist with overall responsibility for leading an oral health improvement service. With a well-developed knowledge of public health practice Julie has implemented a range of effective community public health initiatives. In 2017 Julie was awarded the National Oral Health Promotion Group Patrons Prize, for partnership work embedding good oral health throughout local communities. Julie is now an assessor for the UK Public Health Practitioner register.
