BIOGRAPHY
Marie-Anne O’Neil has a responsibility for the development of the University’s research environment and manages a team within the University of Chester Research and Innovation Office that supports the
University’s vision relating to its research governance, supporting the development of its research staff, facilitating research culture change to ensure research integrity, research ethics and good governance principles are at the core of all research conducted at Chester.
As part of her role, Marie-Anne oversee the institutional due diligence of research and processes with regards to research ethics and governance, new and emerging agendas such as Trusted Research and research data security. As part of her current priorities, Marie-Anne also leads on Workstream 6 of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy that seeks to enhance the experience of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Students with respect to Research and Knowledge Exchange, aligned to the Citizen Student Strategy (CSS).
Marie-Anne also draws upon her extensive project management experience and leads on projects including the continuation of existing commitments such as the HR Excellence in Research Award (HREiRA), student mobility funding through the Turing Scheme and supporting the University’s commitment to the KEF through supporting the institutional growth of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP).
