Professor Paul Kingston is Director of the Centre for Ageing and Mental Health in Chester Medical School, & Director of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Chester.

Alongside my academic roles I have chaired numerous local authority, charity and NHS Safeguarding Adult Boards. I was the founding chair of NHS England's Safeguarding Adults National Network, and also co-chair of NHS England's National Safeguarding Steering Group from 2018-2021 with Professor Hilary Garratt.
I was Non Executive Director at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic NHS Trust from 2018-2023 - in my last year Senior NED and Deputy Chair.
I hold a Public Health Honorary Academic position with the UKHSA.

In November 2024 I was appointed CHAIR: Cheshire and Mersey Integrated Care Board Research and Innovation Committee
