BIOGRAPHY
I am an HCPC-registered Senior Lecturer/Practitioner in Biomedical Science, with over twenty years’ experience as a Biomedical Scientist in NHS Medical Microbiology laboratories within a busy specialist hospital setting. During this time I gained extensive experience in molecular biology techniques such as bacterial 16S rRNA gene sequencing and developed an interest in pathogens responsible for helathcarfe-associated infections.
I am the BSc Biomedical Science course leader, level 4 lead and current leader of placement module and Students should make contact regarding queries at level 4 and placement queries.
Additionally, I am an active fellow of the Institute for Biomedical Science (IBMS) and committee membership of the North Staffordshire IBMS branch.
