TEACHING INTERESTS
My main responsibilities include ensuring operational processes run smoothly by supporting PLs (e.g. timetabling, assessment, examinations) and also programme accreditation processes. Ensure that programme design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the University.
Contribute to the development of academic processes across the institution. Contribute to the development of learning and teaching strategies. Develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching material and techniques to foster enthusiasm and create interest among students both face to face and online.
Teach a range of materials linked to both pre and post-registration (SPQ) programmes including an International 'Top-up' programme. These include; Leadership, Public Health, Homeless and Inclusion Health, Safeguarding, Suicide Awareness, MECC, Clinical Skills and Prescribing. I oversee the marking of Practice Assessment Record Evaluation Documents (PAREs) and for SPQ students completing their Non-medical Prescribing as part of their SPQ programme ,
Develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching techniques and material which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm among students.
Oversee the monitoring of student progress toward NMC registration while in clincial placements and provide advice and guidance to practice assessors, supervisors and students as appropriate on both Pre registration placements and Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) for SPQ Students.
