BIOGRAPHY

I am the EDID and Student Support Lead, based in office 347 with an open‑door policy for all students. My role centres on supporting students with all aspects of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Dignity (EDID), including Reasonable Adjustment Practice Plans, Inclusion Plans, and signposting to appropriate support services. I also provide pastoral and wellbeing support, and students are welcome to contact me in person, via email, or by arranging a Microsoft Teams or telephone call. Students should reach out to me for guidance around EDID, wellbeing, inclusion, or any concerns affecting their experience or progression.

My background is in Paediatrics, with clinical experience across Child and Adolescent Mental Health inpatient services, Safeguarding (working closely with North Wales Police), and Complex Care in Paediatrics. I sit on the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership Board on a voluntary basis, contributing to the new build project, policy and procedure review, and strategic guidance. I also work closely with the North West Neonatal Network, supporting service development and change across the region.

Alongside my clinical and academic work, I have a strong commitment to volunteering. This includes establishing a HIV and AIDS support group for children in Swaziland, supporting vulnerable adults as a befriender during the COVID‑19 pandemic, and serving as an Army Cadet Instructor for five years, teaching and mentoring children and young people.
