Lecturing in Criminology, Dr Wayne Campbell takes considerable pride in the product they deliver and the level of support they supply to the students they (in-)directly come into contact with. The quantity and quality of the teaching, learning and pastoral support they provide within their role does not deviate depending on the student. Whereby Dr Wayne Campbell treats all individuals - students and staff alike - with respect for the dignity of the person. Whether working independently or as part of a cohesive team, they are always participating in the proactive professional development and evaluation of theirs and their teams practices. Working with colleagues to support a strong academic programme identity, grounded upon listening and responding to ongoing student feedback. Advocating for the experience of students to be one which they feel supported, valued and provided with the capabilities to become and remain career ready, is as to why Dr Wayne Campbell also serves as Division Engagement Officer within the School for Humanities and Social Sciences. Seeking to promote consistency among colleagues in efforts to solidify an ethos of supporting the academic and wellbeing needs of our student cohorts: enhancing engagement and improving academic attainment.
