BIOGRAPHY

Tao was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Université Paris VI in 2009, an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London in 2010, and an MSc in Mathematical Modelling from University College London in 2011. He subsequently obtained a PhD in Mathematics from University College London in 2016 for his work on nonlinear surface waves. Following his PhD, he held postdoctoral and research positions at Imperial College London, the University of Bath, and the University of Greenwich. In 2019, he joined the University of Essex as a Lecturer in Mathematical Sciences. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Chester.
